Welcome to Kamnik Distillery, the temple of flavors where fruit, tradition, and innovation unite to create some of the finest existing brandies.

We are an artisan distillery and a brand committed to carving its own path in the world of premium spirits. Here, quantity isn't our goal. It's the quality, the rich, pure, authentic essence of nature that we seek to capture in every bottle.

Following the successful launch of our inaugural grape brandies, we decided to take step further and explore the world of various fruit spirits.
By combining traditional techniques and innovative technology, we created four premium quality brandies through which we aim to present the character of each fruit in the purest and most refined way. They are the result of our dedication to quality and tradition, and we are convinced that, by creating them, we have not only managed to pay respect to the centuries-old tradition of distillation but also introduced a new, fresh twist to the conventional brandy market.

Damson, Jonathan, Williams and Kamnik Quince is a direct result of our search for the perfect drink and the desire to present the riches of plum, apple, pear and quince through the prism of an exquisite brandy.We source all our fruits from local orchards.

These fruits are not products of industrial farming, but the result of the care and time-tested wisdom of local farmers. Handpicked and well ripened, each fruit we use is a recognition to our respect for nature's bounty and our commitment to sustainable practices.

Craftsmanship aka The Magic

Nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Skopje lies the secret- the origin of the most exquisite brandies in the world.

From tree to glass, our process is a labor of love reflected in each sip of our unique, meticulously crafted brandies. The main actors in the process are our custom-made column still specifically designed for small-batch production, the fruits, the cooler, the aging barrels, and most important a team that makes sure all this works- dedicated fruit growers and our master distiller and blender.

The Still

Where does the magic happen?

We use state-of-the-art equipment in our distillery to create our spirits. The final product comes from six careful distillations and specific hours of contact with copper in our copper column still. That's right, six full distillations. The prolonged copper contact and slow distillation process help to maintain the fruit flavor and eliminate all impurities.

During distillation, copper plays a key role in removing unwanted flavors and impurities, like sulfur compounds. It also adds new flavor dimensions and, crucially, enhances smoothness. The more the spirit interacts with the copper, the more layers of flavors and smoothness develop. This process requires a lot of time and patience, but the quality of the spirit speaks for itself. The result is a spirit with unmatched smoothness and deep fruit flavor.

When it comes to selecting our fruits, we partner exclusively with local orchardists who share our passion to producing the finest brandies. The journey of our brandies strats with these rich, sun-ripened fruits, abundant with full-bodied flavors waiting to be captured and bottled.

Every plum, pear, apple, and quince used in our distillation process is carefully handpicked at its peak of ripeness. After the harvest, fruits are immediately washed and sorted by hands, in order to remove the imperfect fruits. The cleaned and sorted fruit is then grounded and moved to the fermentation stage.

We only use natural yeasts for this step, which is carried out under carefully controlled conditions at a cool temperature of no more than 10-15 degrees Celsius.

Our 400-liter French oak aging barrels are at the heart of our maturation process, enhancing and rounding the final character of each brandy. The aging time is carefully tailored to each type of brandy to highlight its distinct taste and character. We strictly control this process to ensure optimal quality. Our commitment to precision ensures that every Kamnik brandy is bottled at the perfect point in its maturation, delivering a product of a highest quality. The result is a brandy that proudly carries our attention to detail and excellence in every sip.

Maturation aka The Final Touch

Our 400-liter French oak aging barrels are at the heart of our maturation process, enhancing and rounding the final character of each brandy. The aging time is carefully tailored to each type of brandy to highlight its distinct taste and character. We strictly control this process to ensure optimal quality. Our commitment to precision ensures that every Kamnik brandy is bottled at the perfect point in its maturation, delivering a product of a highest quality. The result is a brandy that proudly carries our attention to detail and excellence in every sip.
